best real estate websitesWhat I’m Grateful For: Seedlings

Starting baby plants is a magical thing. It really is. You have these paper packets of seeds – some of them gigantic, like cucumbers or pumpkins…. some of them barely bigger than dust, like basil and carrots. They go in moist potting soil, you keep them hydrated and as warm as you can. Some pop out nearly instantly, shooting in to the world with wild exuberance. Others take their long, slow time and you start to feel concern, then worry, then maybe even panic – should I replant? What is going on? Where are my babies? Then finally they emerge, languid and sure, taking their own sweet time, no rushing allowed. Patience, hope, joy, love and magic. All due to some paper packets, a few seeds, and the right conditions.

A bit like life.

What I’m Reading: While still gnawing away at Man’s Search for Meaning, I’m also reading The Winter Harvest Handbook – even though we are actually heating our greenhouse this winter and growing all kinds of warm weather things, I’m interested in what’s possible without the addition of heat for year-round growing up here! Currently, the greenhouse is nicely snowed in and cozy as can be inside!

Web Tip: Are you running AdWords with a healthy SEO package? If not, stay tuned – we will be doing some training on how to get started with this soon!

Quote I’m Pondering: A good question is never answered. It is not a bolt to be tightened into place but a seed to be planted and to bear more seed toward the hope of greening the landscape of idea. – John Ciardi
